Work worth travelling for

Don't travel for just any tattoo. Travel for the right one.

A tattoo trip should begin with the right artistic voice—not the cheapest flight. Brennnessel brings together many artists with very different styles. We look at your subject, placement, size and the feeling you want, then tell you honestly who fits the project and whether your travel window is realistic.

How to plan your tattoo trip.

We reduce the unknowns before an idea turns into travel expenses.

01

Send your idea and travel window

Share references, placement, approximate size, country of origin and possible dates.

02

Clarify the artist and scope

We assess style, technical feasibility, likely sessions and suitable artists.

03

Confirm the date and price range

You receive a concrete assessment. Availability and the final appointment are confirmed individually.

04

Plan Berlin around it

Book your journey only once the tattoo appointment and scope are genuinely settled.

Important: Brennnessel is your tattoo studio, not a travel operator. We coordinate the tattoo project; you arrange your flight or train, accommodation, entry requirements and travel insurance.

Put the busy days before your session.

For many trips, it makes sense to place the tattoo appointment in the quieter part of the stay. The right timing depends on the project, placement, session length and your onward journey.

  1. 1

    Arrive

Leave room for delays and plan a calm night before your appointment.

  2. 2

    Explore Berlin

Put long sightseeing days, sports, spas or nightlife before the session where possible.

  3. 3

    Tattoo session

Arrive well rested, eat beforehand and keep the rest of the day free.

  4. 4

    Slow down

Give the fresh tattoo—and yourself—time before travelling onward or planning a full schedule.

You plan the trip. We plan the tattoo with you.

Clear responsibilities prevent surprises—especially when you are travelling from another country.

What we clarify with you

  • The right artist and stylistic direction
  • Feasibility, placement, size and session scope
  • A confirmed tattoo appointment
  • Price range, preparation and individual aftercare

What remains with you

  • Flights, trains, accommodation and local transfers
  • Passport, visa and entry requirements
  • Travel insurance and, where relevant, international health cover
  • Enough time for rest and possible travel changes

Find an artistic voice you cannot get at home.

Start with the work, not the airfare. Explore a style or compare artists; we will help you find the right match afterwards.

A remarkable city. A studio with room to breathe.

Brennnessel is in Tempelhof, close to S-Bahn and U-Bahn connections and directly beside Tempelhofer Feld. Berlin is internationally accessible via BER airport, long-distance rail and coach. You choose which neighbourhoods, museums, clubs or restaurants belong in your trip; we plan the tattoo so there is realistic space for them.

Questions about travelling to Berlin for a tattoo.

The essential answers for your first plan. We clarify what applies to your specific project personally.

When should I book my flight and hotel?

Only after we have explicitly confirmed the artist, project scope and tattoo appointment. An initial enquiry is not a reservation. Choose flexible travel options where possible and leave room for changes.

How many days should I stay in Berlin?

There is no single answer. Size, placement, session length, number of sessions and your onward journey all matter. Send us your possible dates and we will tell you whether they look realistic for the project.

Can I communicate in English?

Yes, you can send your enquiry in English. During artist matching, we also clarify how communication with the suggested artist will work so there are no surprises in the studio.

Can I fly immediately after the tattoo?

That depends on the tattoo, placement, journey length and your health, among other factors. Avoid planning an unnecessarily tight onward journey and discuss the schedule with us beforehand. Ask a medical professional about medical concerns.

Can I swim, use a sauna or go into the sun after the session?

A fresh tattoo needs protection and a clean healing environment. Do not schedule swimming, saunas or intense sun immediately after the session. Your artist will give you specific aftercare instructions.

Does a tattoo trip work for a large project?

Yes, if the scope and session plan fit together realistically. Large work may require several sessions or a second trip later. We clarify that before you book rather than improvising after you arrive.

Does Brennnessel book my flight or accommodation?

No. We are a tattoo studio and coordinate your tattoo project. You book and check transport, accommodation, insurance and entry formalities yourself.

How much does a tattoo trip to Berlin cost?

The tattoo price depends on the artist, subject, size, placement and time involved. After your enquiry, you receive a realistic price range. Travel and accommodation are not included.
